As long as they get some energizing activity with people or a loved one they are happy.
The Drever needs minimal grooming: occasional brushing and bathing. Their hair is very easily maintained. Check ears regularly. Teeth Regularly need brushed.
The Drever has a personality similar to that of most Dachshunds. It's often considered overly enthusiastic and rambunctious. They have short legs and are slower than other hunting dogs. However, Dachshunds are tenacious and independent and will want to continue working long after the owner is satisfied.
Good with children. Supervision is recommended around young childern.
This relative new breed originated in Sweden 1910 and registered in 1913. where it was developed as a hunting dog because they were good at hunting deer.
