Bil-Jac starts with fresh ingredients. Fresh chicken and fresh chicken organs (source of Arginine) are cleaned and chilled immediately upon harvest. Then they are gently processed into our products, at our own production plant, the very same day.

Our Nutrient Protection Technology gently pasteurizes and dehydrates the fresh chicken and other ingredients. The extra care we take in sourcing, handling, and processing prevents protein degradation other brands suffer through high heat rendering and extrusion. Our Nutrient Protection Technology also allows us to use much more real FRESH chicken than other dry dog food brands. Competitive brands' processing simply can't use as much fresh chicken. In fact, 4 lbs. of fresh chicken is used to make a 6 lb. bag of food.
