May is National Foster Care Month! Adult dogs are the often overlooked, unsung heroes of shelter animals. There are benefits to fostering or adopting an older dog – you'll know your new pooches personality right away, plus most are already spayed or neutered. Adult foster dogs have a lot of love to give, too. This May, see if there's room in your heart to foster.

 Teach your best friend to play Frisbee this summer in 4 easy steps. To get started, all you'll need are a few Frisbees and some
Bil–Jac Treats. Now it's time to play:
- Introduce the Frisbee and repeatedly reward your best friend with treats and praise.
- Teach the "give" command. Have a treat in hand, say "give" and once released, reward with a treat and praise. If your dog won't release, do not hold on to the Frisbee or give a treat! Repeat until the Frisbee is released without hesitation!

 Whether you and Spot are long time running buddies or just playing around with the idea, Bil-Jac has some evergreen advice for running with your best friend:
- Ease Into Running - Gradually increase distance runs with your pooch so his or her pads have a chance to toughen up.
- Don't Run with Puppies or Older Dogs - On average, it takes one year for a puppy's bones to fully mature. Running with dogs older than ten can sometimes trigger health problems.
- Hydrate - Train your running partner to drink out of a water bottle or purchase a portable doggie dish.
