Red, Bark And Boom
Is your pooch terrified of thunderstorms and other loud noises? Then he or she will most likely also be frightened by fireworks too. Check out some easy clues and tips from celebrity dog trainer and friend of Bil-Jac, Joel Silverman:

If you are with your best friend during the 4th of July fireworks display:
  • Remember that most fireworks activities begin between 9 p.m. & 10 p.m.
  • Make sure you are with your dog inside at the time, perhaps with his favorite Bil‑Jac treat!
  • Make sure the windows are closed. It will help decrease the noise.
  • Sit with your pup and offer him some treats during this period of time, as well as pet and reassure him.
  • Keep some water nearby – your pet may need a drink from all that panting!

Race with Your Best Friend!

We switched our Jack Russell Terrier puppy to Bil-Jac and she loves it and she is doing exceptionally well on it. I met the local Rep at PetsMart and we look forward to a long life with a healthy Bil-Jac fed Jack Russell.

Scratch The Surface Of K9 Allergies

Q: My Vet told me to feed my dog a Lamb & Rice or Chicken & Rice formula because he may have food allergies. Does Bil-Jac make a non-allergenic dog food formula?

A: The actual incidence of allergies in dogs to specific ingredients is quite low – however, allergic type reactions to poorly processed food can be more common. Bil-Jac starts with REAL FRESH CHICKEN that we hand pick and procure ourselves, from name brand producers who supply your dinner table. Bil-Jac uses corn because corn has a higher total antioxidant activity (more than double) compared to rice and because it produces a lower glycemic index than other carbohydrates, including rice. Multiple studies have shown that food allergies in dogs are no more common for corn than for rice.

Dogs who are diagnosed with food "allergies" are often really reacting to poor quality meat ingredients and improper cooking. Most dogs will not show "allergic" reactions to Bil-Jac because our superior quality dog food is prepared correctly.

We are confident that, unless your dog has been diagnosed with a specific allergy to a specific ingredient through testing by your Vet, you’ll find Bil-Jac will solve your "allergy" problems better than competing Lamb & Rice or Chicken & Rice formulas.
